At Bliss Witch Coaching, our one-on-one writing workshops offer professional guidance, brainstorming, and editorial feedback on your writing. You can create and work on a personal essay, a short piece of fiction, or a personal journal.
Our workshops are open to both seasoned authors and first-time writers, and you’ll get to work with a writer and coach who has been published in major outlets, including The New Yorker, The New York Times, The Atlantic, Guernica, The Cut, and many other places, as well as many published anthologies.
What makes our workshops really special is that you also get the support of a warm, compassionate, supportive coach along the way.
This means that if difficult, confusing, or painful feelings arise during the writing or feedback process, your coach is there to help you work through it with proven coaching and creative-arts techniques to help clients work through these feelings.
Bliss Witch Coaching is committed to treating clients with ethical, attentive care so that they can not only start their writing odyssey, but begin a larger lifelong journey of healing.
How Can Writing Help Me?
Writing about what we feel, fear, remember, or desire can be an incredible way to begin to process, understand, and ultimately release what we're feeling. As we go through the process of translating what we’re thinking and feeling into language, we are encountering it anew, both consciously as we write and subconsciously as we do other things in-between writing.
Our relationship with what we write can begin to shift simply by focusing so deeply on it, but we also begin to heal by putting what we are feeling into words, by translating it from sensation into language. It is a kind of emotional alchemy.
As we write, we begin to release—and we can begin to understand what we’re feeling in new, powerful ways. It’s almost magical, really, a witchcraft of writing.
More specifically, it’s one example of the ways that the creative arts can be powerful complements to coaching, therapy, and self-growth.
Why Do I Need a Workshop? Why Bliss Witch?
To get the best results, it helps to learn how to write, and, in particular, how to write about things that may be difficult, painful, awkward, shameful, or just plain overwhelming. When dealing with such sensitive material, it’s useful to have someone experienced and empathetic to help you.
At Bliss Witch Coaching, you have the chance to work with a highly experienced writer, editor, and educator on putting together a personal essay, short piece of fiction, or journal in which you explore whatever is on your mind.
In addition, what makes Bliss Witch’s offerings special is that your workshop leader is also a certified transformational coach. It can be painful, scary, or even overwhelming to write about what we’re feeling, especially if we are exploring difficult or even traumatic memories.
Your coach will communicate in an empathetic, non-judgmental way throughout, and, if you ever need space to breathe or need advice on how to cope during the writing process, your coach will provide resources.
In addition, your coach will provide guidance on working through the feelings you bring up not just during the workshops, but over the course of your life.
Through a series of video-calls, your coach will help you brainstorm and generate ideas, make sure that you write by providing accountability exercises, read your work (if you would like them to; you may also keep your work private), and provide professional feedback on it (also optional).
Your coach will always provide a safe space for you to share and create in.

It’s easy! Just reach out via our Contact form by clicking the button below and give us a sense of what you’d like to work on (an essay, a story, or a journal, or, if you’re unsure, that’s fine, too!) and a sense of what sort of subject matter you’d like to write about.
We require that clients reach out with this info first so that we can ensure that we are the right place for them and that we can support them as needed.
Once you’ve been approved, your coach will provide you with an invoice, and we will work out a schedule for our one-on-one workshop meetings. The cost depends on the client’s needs, which is why we don’t just use a flat rate, and we’re always happy to consider clients who may need financial assistance.
